My desktop picture is a view of the Tyne, people at work were admiring it today... they thought it was somewhere exotic! it inspired me to post photos from last year when we were home :)

Once Upon A Time In America

Teddy was excited to take a shot of the Manhattan Bridge like the famous one in Once Upon A Time In America, we were lucky - the light was just right when we got there.

Brooklyn NYC

Hello all, hope you are all having a good start to 2012! We took a very short trip to NY last weekend, we spent 2 nights in Brooklyn and just hung out there checking out some of the neighbourhoods.  It was really nice but so so cold! Here are some photos from our walk along the Brooklyn Bridge Park.

There was a beautiful old carousel between the bridges which we had a ride on - Teddy really enjoyed that!

Sunday Treats

Enjoying a sunny Sunday afternoon. We went to the yummy frozen yoghurt shop. Mine was coconut, black cherry, almonds and dark choc drops.

 I cheated and wore my new birthday shoes early!

Russell's River Cottage Loaf

Teddy is quite the cook these days, he decided to try out making bread from scratch.  It was relatively easy and fun to make...

The bread turned out so good, we sat on the patio eating it with pate and cheese.  Until it started to rain :D

New hair, I was bored of being a red head so decided to go back dark and have a bit of blue too.  I think I like it. Although some times when I look in the mirror I think who is that?!

I heart NYC

A few snaps from our trip to NY.  We finally got there after wanting to since we arrived in DC.  There was a band playing Russell wanted to see; so we hopped on the mega bus and had three nights in the big apple.  We tried to fit a few of the main sights in while we were there but we mostly wandered around checking out some of the different neighbourhoods.  These are places you should recognise...
